Meet Dr. Shiori
Dr. Shiori's journey to medicine began with a deeply personal experience. After witnessing a loved one struggle to navigate the healthcare system without a physician who could truly advocate for them, she was inspired to become the kind of doctor who listens, guides, and partners with patients throughout their health journey.
Dr. Shiori earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine–Georgia and completed her Family Medicine residency at Emory Family Medicine. During her training, she saw firsthand how limited appointment times, barriers to access, and insurance-driven decisions often prevented patients from receiving the thoughtful, compassionate care they deserved.
These experiences inspired her to create Sakura Health — a practice where patients come first. Through a membership-based model, Dr. Shiori provides longer visits, direct access, and evidence-based care with the time and attention needed to build meaningful relationships and help patients achieve their healthiest lives.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Shiori enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. Whether exploring the outdoors, sharing family meals, or cheering from the sidelines at her children's activities, she treasures the moments that keep her grounded and remind her of the importance of family, balance, and community.

Do you take insurance?
No. Sakura Health is a membership-based clinic. You can still use your insurance for medications.
Do you recommend having health insurance?
Absolutely! While Sakura Health covers your primary care needs, you still want to be covered for emergency and specialist visits, which can be quite expensive. We can also provide resources for health share plans.
Do you prescribe controlled substances?
No, except in certain circumstances. We don't prescribe narcotics, benzodiazepines, or zolpidem. We can refer you to appropriate specialists.
Can I get labs?
Yes, you can get most labs done at Sakura Health.
